Corsets and ribbons and feathers! Oh my! All the way back to my great grandmother, I come from a long line of women with a fascination for clothing construction. Letting my imagination run wild while sitting in a heaps of lace, velvet, leather and suede, tarnished belt buckles and antique brass grommets, it’s just in my blood.

I have spent many years in Los Angeles as a wardrobe stylist, makeup artist and fashion consultant. My endeavors have taken me through the wondrous worlds of High Fashion magazine photo shoots and touring through Tokyo, to the Olympic Games and entertaining the US Troops, to the underground burgeoning art scene of Burning Man and several creatively eco-friendly festival scenes throughout California. In clothing design, traveling the world and voyaging to far away places, like Alaska and India, inspires me to seek out that faraway street corner and find the hidden treasures of old antique shops and recycled clothing stores, collecting vintage, second hand, left over and rare fabrics as well as trinkets, to create my one-of-a-kind creations!

Each piece is unique and handmade mostly from recycled materials. I realized early on that I could transform my mood, my sense of self, my feelings of romance and adventure by merely adorning my body with the colors, textures and shapes of clothing. Gypse Couture was created from my hearts desire to share transformational clothing with others!
